How the discount works
The upgrade price is prorated against your original purchase date. Time already used comes off the discount, so an annual member three months in pays less than one who waits until month eleven.
There is no penalty for waiting. There is just less credit left to apply.
What you get
A Lifetime VIP Access Pass is $299 once. No renewal, no expiry, and no annual reminder to think about it again. Everything the annual pass covers, including every product added to the catalog after you bought it.
The arithmetic is the same argument as the pass itself. Three years of annual passes costs the same as lifetime, and most people who upgrade do it because they have worked out they are not going anywhere.

What happens to your existing key
